Tuna Route aims to set up a long-term international tourism route, from conception to the operative marketing and promotion of labelled tourism products and packages seizing the iconic value of Atlantic Bluefin Tuna.
Tuna Route will at first concentrate efforts on the development of nautical and maritime sustainable tourism. However, the Tuna Route is not restricted to sea-based activities, and intends to include all sectors and expand across the natural distribution of Eastern Atlantic Bluefin Tuna.
Our vision builds on the valorisation of Bluefin tuna natural, cultural and industrial heritage, for world-wide awareness of the Western Mediterranean as a sustainable, high quality and safe destination for nautical tourism.
Tuna Route seeks to facilitate collaboration among public and private entities from local to international level. Such collaboration aims to pool resources to increase visibility, drive product development and improve common branding and marketing, but above all to promote sustainability and excellence.
